SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it can be alarmed about the significant quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The assistance level designed for intervention ordeals a higher inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will sassa status check mobilise extra means to allow the servicing of all prospects and boost access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
